Geoff is a talented lawyer with an eye for detail, a mix of technical ability and personality and also a keen commercial instinct. He has the ability to work calmly and efficiently under pressure, and proven experience in handling large portfolio work.

With vast expertise in Commercial and Residential Property, Geoff has worked in the City and for national firms such as Irwin Mitchell, Goodman Derrick and Bryan Cave Leighton Paisner.

He prides himself on being a business strategist, whether for an individual, SME or large corporate, as well as an effective communicator and leader. Geoff is passionate and responsive to and for his clients, and his dedicated service shows this.

Geoff spent five years working for a Sunday Times Rich List property entrepreneur, dealing with all things property including commercial licensing, commercial to residential mixed use developments, debt recovery, financing arrangements and projects, high value transactions (acquisitions and sales and complex leasing) and Landlord and Tenant 1954 Act litigation (David Pearl and the Structadene Group). Geoff also has experience working in-house and on projects for the likes of the Arts Council, Barclays Bank plc and Tesco.

Currently Geoff runs our Battersea office at 8 Molasses Row, Plantation Wharf, a new riverside London location of Ackroyd Legal.

Lease extensions (landlord and tenant) and enfranchisement and creation of right to manage transactions. Portfolio management including negotiation and execution of licences to assign, licences to alter, grants of easements, lease re-gears and property refinancing (bridging and vanilla refinancing).

Geoff also carries out site set-ups and conveyancing for office and/or retail to residential use, and limited litigation concerning lease renewals under the Landlord and Tenant Act 1954.

Outside the office

Further from his profession, Geoff is father to his son Gabriel and has quite a few hobbies.

He enjoys playing football, golf and loves boxing and martial arts. Geoff is also passionate about cooking and cuisine, fashion and photography, while, of course, appreciating good music or a book by his side.

What the future holds

When talking about the future, Geoff has big aspirations. One of them is focusing on expanding his knowledge base and expanding the firm’s success. Raising his son to be happy and wholesome is also one of his goals for the future ahead, in addition to travelling, becoming more DIY proficient, eco-conscious, eco friendly and appreciating more nature and the animals.
