The Contract of Employment

A contract of employment is the agreement made with the employee that sets down their rights and responsibilities as well as their duties and conditions of employment.

The terms of the contract of employment are binding upon both parties, until they are amended, or until the employment comes to an end.

If you employ someone to do ad-hoc work within your company, for example building maintenance, this will not usually form a contract of employment but rather a contract to provide services.

Your specialist employment law solicitor can help you to deal with all aspects of contracts of employment. Please contact us and we will be very happy to help you.

As an employer, it is critical that you have all of the necessary documents in place from the start. Our skilled and experienced employment solicitors can assist you. Contact us today and we’ll be happy to help.
